Indoor Air Quality Services in Orlando - Florida Humidity Control
In Florida, clean indoor air starts with humidity, not filters. Northern HVAC leads with allergen filtration; Orlando homes need moisture control first. Owner-operated by Tony and Jon Luke Ventresca.
Clean air starts with humidity.
Indoor air quality services in Orlando from Father and Son. Florida's IAQ priority is different from northern markets - dehumidification matters more than particle filtration here. We target indoor relative humidity of 45-55% to reduce mold risk, dust mites, and that "sticky" feeling even with the AC running. Our scope: whole-house dehumidifier installation, UV-C light systems for HVAC coils, MERV-13 filtration, fresh air ventilation, and IAQ diagnostics. Same-day service during business hours. Why Florida IAQ is different
In northern markets, indoor air quality work begins with particle filtration. In Orlando, the priority inverts - moisture comes first.
Through the humid season, outdoor relative humidity regularly climbs above 90%, and controlling moisture matters more than catching particles. Humid indoor air feels sticky even when the thermostat reads 74°F, and sustained indoor humidity above 55% invites mold and feeds dust mites. Two Florida-specific failures drive most of the trouble.
Sweating during AC off-cycles
When the compressor shuts off, the cold evaporator coil and nearby ductwork warm up and sweat - and that moisture can linger until the next cooling cycle, raising mold risk right where condensation collects.
An oversized AC that short-cycles
An oversized air conditioner cools the air too fast - it satisfies the thermostat and shuts off before it has run long enough to wring water out of the air, leaving a home that's cool but clammy.
The fix is rarely a stronger filter. It's a whole-home dehumidifier wired to a humidistat, a UV-C light aimed at the coil where moisture and mold meet, and a correctly sized system that runs long enough to dehumidify. High-efficiency filtration still earns its place - it just isn't where Florida IAQ begins.
Our five indoor air quality services
All five are offered today, same-day during business hours. Each service's dedicated page is on the way - depth will live there.
Whole-House Dehumidifiers
A whole-home dehumidifier wired to a humidistat holds indoor relative humidity in the 45–55% band that filtration alone can't reach. Whole-house dehumidifiersUV-C Light Systems
An in-coil UV-C light treats the evaporator coil where condensation collects, suppressing the mold and biofilm that develop during AC off-cycles. UV-C light systemsHigh-Efficiency Air Filtration
When the system can support it, a properly matched MERV-13 filter captures fine particles - pollen, dust, dander - without starving airflow or straining the blower. High-efficiency filtrationFresh Air Ventilation
An ERV brings in measured outdoor air and exhausts stale indoor air while limiting the humidity and energy penalty an open window would add - and rarely an HRV where the application calls for it. Fresh air ventilationIAQ Diagnostics & Testing
We measure indoor relative humidity, airflow, and temperature differential to find why a home feels sticky before recommending equipment. IAQ diagnostics & testingWhy we target indoor humidity of 45–55%

Father and Son measures indoor relative humidity on site with a calibrated hygrometer, alongside airflow at the registers and the temperature drop across the coil, then corrects it with dehumidification, coil treatment, or a runtime adjustment rather than guesswork.
